This handsome cat is Bronx.

Bronx is a striking 4-year-old male tabby cat looking for a home to call his own.

Bronx needs someone who can read his body language and understand that-in his mind- he runs the show! He is also in need of a home with no cats- they seem to stress him out.

Bronx arrived to WCHS as a stray in December of 2021. He tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). This is commonly seen in stray male cats.

Since then, he has been capturing the hearts of visitors and volunteers with his unique, handsome features and his charming, quirky personality.

Bronx is known and loved for his cute round face and body. He has big wonky eyes that beg you to give him attention!

Bronx loves scratches on the head, and light petting on his back. Once he is done with petting, he will let you know!

Bronx is a very special cat who would love to become your best friend. If you are looking for a cute and quirky guy to add to your family, then look no further!

Say hello to Dusty!

Dusty is a 2-year-old Shepherd mix male pup looking for a forever family. He was found as a stray in southern Illinois and was never reclaimed. Dusty has been with us since November 2021.

Dusty weighs around 75 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and heartworm negative. Dusty is looking for a family who will help continue his training post adoption. (Dusty will need to go into a home with no young children.) He's already learned "sit" and is making great progress on "wait" and "drop it"!

Dusty LOVES to play fetch. His favorite toys are balls and other fetch toys. He is an active boy and would be happiest with lots of playtime.

He also enjoys long walks, and he likes to carry his toys. Dusty has made lots of progress with his leash training.

Dusty is a strong guy and is learning how to walk without pulling. He will require a strong and confident leader to walk him! He walks very well on a harness.

Dusty would love nothing more than to be your best friend. He is extremely sweet and loving. He has made so much progress since his arrival to the shelter, and we are very proud of him.
