Giving Back to our Furry Friends

Featured Adoptable Pets

This handsome salt and pepper cat is Fozzie Bear.

Fozzie is approximately 7 years old and weighs around 15 pounds.

Fozzie must go to a home with no other cats or dogs. He has made it clear to us that he wants to be king of his castle!

Fozzie arrived to WCHS off transport from local animal control in January of 2023. He tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). This is commonly seen in stray male cats.

Fozzie has been bringing lots of love and laughter to shelter staff, volunteers and visitors for over 500 days. He has been patiently waiting for his forever home.

Fozzie Bear is known and loved for his seemingly endless charm. He loves people and will meow and roll over to greet you. He loves affection and is very comfortable with allowing shelter staff to carry him for hugs.

Fozzie is a very special cat who would love to become your best friend. If you are looking for a cute and quirky guy to add to your family, then look no further!

This beauty is Mookie!

Mookie is a senior female pittie looking for a loving retirement home. She is estimated to be around 8 years old and is around 75lbs. Mookie came to WCHS in May of 2022. Since then, she has been living with us, waiting for her people to come.

Mookie is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and heartworm negative. Mookie keeps her kennel very clean, and rarely has accidents inside. She would likely need very little house-training.

Mookie loves to play with stuffed toys and chew on hard bones. She plays well at the shelter and doesn't seem to have much destructive tendencies. She has her playful and energetic moments but is a couch potato for the most part.

Mookie walks great on a leash. She loves to take slow strolls and enjoy the sun on her fur!

Mookie is selective with other dogs. She seems to tolerate dogs with mild temperaments but is not a fan of highly energetic dogs. We are open to introducing Mookie to other dogs. Mookie cannot go into a home with cats.

Mookie is a wonderful dog who absolutely loves her people once she gets to know them. If you or someone you know can provide this sweetheart with a loving forever home, please contact us!
