WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The Will County Humane Society is in need of an addition in order to better service the smaller dogs in our
care. Our main kennel is being renovated with new materials that will be safer, more efficient and easier to
clean. By doing this, our large kennels expand in size creating minimal space for small dog kennels. There is
no available room in our current building that will comfortably fit our small dogs cages. Therefore, we have

decided it would be in our pets best interest to add on to our existing building.
As you can imagine, this project comes at a cost! YOU CAN HELP!!!

Why do we need your help?

  • The Will County Humane Society is a 5013C not-for-profit organization which receives NO Federal or Local Government funding
    • Our shelter exists because of our devoted supporters/donors
  • Expansion is necessary in order to continue providing the intimate care and support our shelter provides to the homeless pets in need
  • As Will County’s OLDEST no-kill shelter, we would like the opportunity to continue to grow with our ever-expanding community!

The importance of small/large dog separation:

  • Decreases reactivity amongst all dogs in the kennel
  • Decreases overall kennel stress
  • Decreases resource guarding opportunities
  • Decreases mental decline
  • Promotes a “Fear-free” environment
