Hours: Monday- 3pm to 7pm, Friday- 3pm to 7pm; Occasional Wednesday evenings with advanced notice
Starting rate: $11 p/h
This person will be trained in all kennel shifts including opening, showing and closing shifts.
Cleaning shifts include but are not limited to deep cleaning the kennel and other designated areas of the shelter, medicating, feeding, dishes, and upkeep of laundry. This person will be expected to safely handle dogs of all size, strengths and temperaments. Heavy lifting, bending and other strenuous tasks will be required.
Evening shift responsibilities will include but are not limited to, assisting the lead kennel attendant with escorting dogs outside, spot cleaning, medicating and re-feeding - as well as assisting in bringing the pets back indoors for feeding time.
This person will also be responsible for assisting the lead kennel attendant with walking and socializing specific dogs and assuring the overall safety and well-being of all pets within their care.
This person will be expected to report directly to the Kennel Manager. Please note that all applicants must be 18 years or older.
